Three Unforgettable Insider Adventures at Walt Disney World

Visiting Walt Disney World as a guest is a pretty great experience, but it’s even better when you can get a glimpse of the magic from a different perspective. Seeing what happens behind the scenes and learning more about Walt Disney World from an insider’s perspective will give you a unique vantage point that helps to reframe the magic in a cool new way.

While Disney offers a full range of unique VIP tours and experiences, here are three of my favourite recommended unforgettable adventures that you should consider (at least one of them) for your next Walt Disney World vacation.

If you love to have the scoop on insider information about Walt Disney World Resort, these adventures are for you.

Magic Kingdom Casting Agency

Backstage Magic takes you behind the scenes so that you’ll feel what it’s like to go where only Disney Cast Members go.

Backstage Magic

We all appreciate how much fun it is to experience the Walt Disney World Parks as a guest, but did you ever wonder what it’s like to peek behind the curtain?

The Backstage Magic Tour is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to take a guided tour behind the scenes at Walt Disney World Resort. For many guests, getting to experience what it’s like to be in the utilidors beneath Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park is worth the price of admission alone. But there is so much more to see and do on the seven-hour journey that it’s a must-do for any diehard fan of Disney Parks.

This is a long tour and there is an age restriction, so be sure to review all the details about the Disney Backstage Magic VIP Tour before committing.

Wild Africa Trek

The Kilimanjaro Safari at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park is pretty much the next best thing to actually being on an African safari with Adventures by Disney. The Wild Africa Trek takes that experience one step further—putting you literally behind the scenes and walking among the animals and wildlife that most guests see only from a moving vehicle. In fact, some of your social media followers may think you were actually in Africa when they see the photos that you get from this experience.

This three-hour excursion is a combination of walking and riding in a vehicle, with a brief stop for a delicious African-inspired meal to round out the experience. Not only will you learn a great deal of detail from the very educated guides, but you will get an opportunity to challenge your skills on a suspension bridge and get up close and personal with some of the residents who call this safari their home.

The Wild Africa Trek at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park is one of the shortest of the VIP tours, but it is also one of the most expensive. For some reason it may not sound very exciting from the descriptions on the official Disney website, but trust me when I say that it is well worth the cost if you are at all interested in the wild side of Walt Disney World and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park.

Star Wars Guided Tour

Star Wars VIP Tour

We’ll assume that you are a Star Wars fan if you are thinking of taking this tour, but if you are, then you will fully enjoy this comprehensive excursion that covers everything to do with Star Wars at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The Star Wars VIP Tour is a full seven hours, so be sure you have the stamina for it (don’t worry too much, though, you will get a lunch break in the middle and there are other opportunities to rest). The tour covers Star Wars trivia and unknown facts and includes several key attractions, such as taking part in the March of the First Order, behind the scenes access to Star Tours, participation in Jedi Training for the younger padawans and a delicious dessert party before VIP placement for the nightly Star Wars spectacular.

I am not sure what will become of this tour once the new Galaxy’s Edge (Star Wars) part of the park opens, but for now, it is a highly recommended experience for anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the Star Wars experience.
