Defining the Luxury Disney Traveler
What Does “Luxury Disney Travel” Really Mean?
When someone talks about luxury travel, what comes to mind? A posh resort overlooking the Mediterranean in Monte Carlo, perhaps with Maseratis lined up out front waiting for the Valet?
But luxury travel has a much broader meaning than that.
Luxury travel doesn’t mean a vacation that’s excessive, palatial or even out of reach of the average traveler. In fact, in many cases, it isn’t any of those things. The luxury traveler is someone who prefers the finer side of life when they travel. Regardless of your household income or even how you live your everyday life, luxury travel is a getaway from the every day. However, you must still be receiving value for the money you spend — even if it’s the-best-of-the-best.
Some travelers may prefer a luxury approach to travel for every trip they take. While other travelers may want to splurge from time to time and truly enjoy the comforts and benefits of an upscale vacation once in a while.
And who doesn’t like to splurge on something big now and then?
A splurge can be anything from a designer handbag, to a coveted golf club, to a luxury family vacation. Remember, however, that it can be hard to go back once you taste the luxury travel lifestyle(!)
A Luxury Disney Vacation is Not Out of Reach
Luxury travel is for those of us who prefer The Finer Side of Travel™. That includes travel destinations — regardless of whether it’s the French Riviera or Walt Disney World. And while some of us like to travel this way all the time, others may not. Even if someone can’t afford (or doesn’t want) a luxury vacation every time they travel, they can still decide to take the approach of saving up for a Deluxe vacation to treat themselves and their family to a special vacation in the lap of luxury.
When it comes to Disney travel, I have worked with travelers in both camps. While most of my clientele were luxury travelers when I was a Travel Advisor, there were many who were note. Instead, they preferred to save up for their luxury vacation in order to enjoy the pampered feel of staying in a Disney Deluxe Resort and enjoying some of the special VIP experiences that are available at Walt Disney World.
So even if you are not a regular luxury traveler, don’t feel that a Deluxe Disney vacation is not attainable. In most cases, it is.
I had clients who would tell me that they would rather put off their family vacation for a year or two in order to save for Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa or Disney’s Beach Club Resort so that they could have an uncompromising Deluxe Disney vacation experience. For these guests, the benefits of a luxury Disney vacation are well worth the wait and the extra expense. So it’s worth considering an approach like this if you are dreaming of the day that you can experience Club Level Accommodations at one of Disney’s prized Deluxe Resort hotels.
Deluxe Disney is for Travelers Who Prefer a Luxury Vacation Experience
Not all Pixie Dust is created equal.
For seasoned luxury travelers who are considering a Walt Disney World vacation, you do not have to sacrifice the high-end style that you are used to. You can feel confident that Disney does have a premium level of Resort accommodations that provide the optimal guest experience, including Deluxe resorts in preferred locations that offer the ultimate in Disney features and appointments.
Fine dining, upscale shopping and spacious resort properties all combine to provide the utmost in a Deluxe Disney vacation. There are some Deluxe Disney accommodations (such as the Bora Bora Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort) that — at up to US$3,000 a night — can challenge even the healthiest of luxury vacation budgets. But I can tell you first-hand that these are incredible accommodations that should please even the most discerning of travelers to Walt Disney World. Exclusive Disney VIP Tours with rates approaching US$3,000.00 a day will no doubt leave you feeling very special having experienced Walt Disney World Resort in a way that few others have the means to do.
So no matter what type of Deluxe Disney experience you have in mind, there is something at Walt Disney World for you.
