Kick off Spring with a Visit to Disneyland’s Delicious Celebration of Food and Drink

The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival has expanded to 54 days and will run from March 1 to April 23, 2019

Even without a festival going on, food and drink are two of the most popular attractions at any Disney Park. So it’s no surprise that this increasingly popular celebration of West Coast flavors continues to woo guests to Disney California Adventure Park at Disneyland Resort each spring.

At the 2019 edition of the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, you will discover the bountiful flavours of uniquely unforgettable California cuisine. Plus, the festival also celebrates beverages and entertainment from the Golden State as it takes over Disney California Adventure Park for a full 54 days. With experiences happening daily during the festival, there will always something new to try as you eat and drink your way around Disney California Adventure.

Fun for the Whole Family

The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival offers tasty treats and entertainment for everyone in your family. Yes, it’s call the Food & Wine Festival, but it could easily be call the food and drink festival. So don’t hesitate to bring the kids along (unless you really want to have yourselves a secret Disney vacation just for the grown-ups). Either way, you’ll be able to discover unique food and beverage offerings at 14 different Festival Marketplaces located around the park. Each location’s menu is inspired by fresh, California-grown ingredients. And it’s not just about wine. If you’re a beer drinker like me, have no fear. There are plenty of locally-brewed craft beers to sample, along with the wines and spirits from all across the region. You may also want to buy a festival Sip and Savor Pass. Each pass consists of eight coupons that you can exchange for food and drink samples (excluding those with commemorative mugs and so on). Still, if you plan to indulge, it’s a great way to get the best value as they make your way through the Festival Marketplaces.

Live Demonstrations by Celebrity Chefs

The Food & Wine Festival offers more than just, well, food and wine.

On the Backlot Stage in Hollywood Land on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, celebrity chefs will give culinary demonstrations. Learn their go-to recipes and insider tips for preparing sensational dishes. Family-friendly seminars on these days are presented by Chef Daniella Malfitano, who will demonstrate how preparing and sharing a meal can be a wonderful way to spend time together as a family.

Junior Chef Experience

Another returning favorite is the Junior Chef experience, which features hands-on fun led by Chef Goofy. It’s ideal for children ages 3 to 11. Aspiring young chefs will follow a recipe and mix a variety of ingredients to create magical treats that end with a tasty surprise. The Junior Chef experience is open for fun several times daily on the Backlot Stage in Hollywood Land. It’s a popular event, so bear that in mind.

Live Music, Entertainment and More

Live music, entertainment and special activities help to bring  that unique California vibe to every day of the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival.

If you’re looking for something a little extra special, the festival’s signature events have you covered. This year, watch for new offerings, such as the Dinner with Disney Chefs and Winemaker Receptions at Carthay Circle Restaurant. Favorite signature events are also back this year, including Sweet Sundays.
