Deluxe Disney Room With A View
This is the view from room #8218 at Bay Lake Tower, Walt Disney World Resort.
Bay Lake Tower room 8218 is located on the 12th floor and provides a very good view of the surrounding area. Rooms on lower floors can sometimes have angles that are not as desirable. Anything below the seventh floor may have the the monorail tracks interfering with your view. You will also be much closer to the Bay Lake Tower parking lot, which is right in front of the resort and is somewhat of a visual distraction for Theme Park View rooms. While you cannot guarantee a room or floor, my recommendation is to always request a high floor here for these reasons.
Upper Floors Provide Better Angles at Bay Lake Tower
Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is in a very unique location, within walking distance of the Magic Kingdom front gates. This Disney Deluxe Villa Resort offers very good room views in both the Theme Park View category (pictured here) and the Bay Lake View category. A Theme Park View Room at Bay Lake Tower will allow you to see Seven Seas Lagoon, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, the monorails whooshing by and the Magic Kingdom (primarily Cinderella Castle and Space Mountain in Tomorrowland). You also get a pretty good view of the nightly fireworks display.
You can see in the photo above how much of the view is actually consumed by the parking lot. However, when standing on your balcony you don’t tend to focus on that, especially when you are on an upper floor.
