Where to Stay When You Want to Get Away from the Crowds at Walt Disney World

Are you interested in staying at an upscale Disney Resort hotel at Walt Disney World, but don’t like the idea of being in a busy hotel environment?

For a luxury hotel experience, minus the busy crowds, try one of these two properties for a decidedly different Walt Disney World travel experience.

Disney Deluxe Villas are less Well Known than Disney Deluxe Resorts

Among the Deluxe category of accommodations at Walt Disney World, the Disney Deluxe Villas category isn’t as well known to the average Disney traveler. And many travel agents rarely recommend these properties to their clients, simply because there isn’t as much awareness about the Deluxe villas.

Most Walt Disney World guests who want to stay in an upscale Disney Resort hotel are familiar with all of the popular names among the Disney Deluxe Resorts: Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Contemporary Resort and so on. However, fewer guests are familiar with the Disney Deluxe villas — especially those that are not affiliated with a sister resort.

Two Recommended Disney Resorts that offer Upscale Accommodations in a Laid-Back Setting

If you’re looking for a Deluxe Disney property where you can have all of the comforts of home and avoid the crowds of a typical Disney resort hotel, there are two properties in particular that fit the bill:

  1. Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa
  2. Disney’s Old Key West Resort

These are the two most desirable properties for Walt Disney World guests who are looking to get away from the crowds, but who still want to stay onsite in a Disney-owned hotel.

As a bonus, these Disney Deluxe  Resorts are part of the Disney Vacation Club suite of properties (meaning you get several extra amenities), but they are open to any guest who would like to enjoy all of the benefits offered by Disney Deluxe Villas (including kitchen facilities and laundry facilities, among other things).
