Which Disney World Resort has the Best Club Level?

I get a lot of questions from readers of the Luxury Disney Travel Blog and from time-to-time I pick a question to answer here in my blog. Typically these are the questions that I get asked more than once.

In this edition of Ask a Disney Travel Expert, I answer the question: Which Disney Resort hotel has the best Club Level?

There are few things that I like more at Walt Disney World Resort than a good Club Level accommodation. I have stayed at every Club Level at Walt Disney World, so I’ll answer this question based on my personal experiences over the years. For the record, while “best” is a relative term, my recommendations are based on nearly 50 years of travel to Walt Disney World Deluxe properties.

In my opinion, the best Club Level accommodations at Walt Disney World are those found at the original Walt Disney World Resort hotels in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area. My recommended Disney Club Levels are:

  1. Royal Palm Club at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa
  2. King Kamehameha Club at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
  3. Atrium Club (12th floor) or Tower Club (14th floor) at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Without question, the Royal Palm Club and the King Kamehameha Club are my top two picks, in that order. I personally prefer the Royal Palm Club, but my wife is a big fan of the King Kamehameha Club at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, mainly because of its lounge configuration.

I have added the Club Level Concierge offerings at Disney’s Contemporary Resort to the list primarily for guests who place a high value on the view from their room. Both levels of Club Level at Disney’s Contemporary Resort do have excellent views, regardless of whether you are facing Seven Seas Lagoon or Bay Lake.

Still, the Royal Palm Club is unmatched by an other Deluxe Resort property. From the dedicated elevator bank in the lobby, to the spacious Club Level Lounge area and good configuration, this is my top pick when it comes to Club Level Concierge Rooms at Walt Disney World Resort.

The King Kamehameha Club is more compact in many ways, but the Club Level Lounge area is a good size there as well and the setup works well for guests

It’s Likely that You’ll Enjoy Any of Disney’s Club Level Accommodations

All of the Deluxe Resorts at Walt Disney World offer Club Level Concierge accommodations.

While each hotel’s Club Level has its pros and cons, they will all offer a better experience than you’ll receive in a standard room in the corresponding resort. If you’ve never stayed in a Disney Club Level Concierge room and you’re wondering if it’s worth the cost, I have a post dedicated to Club Level accommodations at Walt Disney World, if you’d like to learn more about them.
