New Disney Candles from Homesick
Disney Candles featuring fresh new scents for Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse
If there's one thing that just about every Disney fan loves, it's a Disney-themed candle. And now there are two new fragrances from which to choose as Homesick and Disney have teamed up to create new original scents for that iconic couple: Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.
We received a couple of sample candles to test out and I enlisted our resident candle expert Amelia to give her insights on these alluring new scents. Amelia’s comments are below, but first let’s look at the scent profiles for the Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse candles.
Each candle has a complex and well-balanced scent profile.
The Minnie Mouse Candle
According to Homesick, the Minnie Mouse candle features:
top notes of magnolia petals and lemon zest,
mid notes of cyclamen, rose hips and amber; and
base notes of sandalwood, musk and sweet peony.
Minnie Mouse definitely leans towards the floral spectrum and is the more fragrance-forward of the two.
The Mickey Mouse Candle
The Mickey Mouse candle features:
top notes of Italian mandarin and grapefruit,
mid notes of peppercorn, clove and wild lily and
base notes of apple peel, patchouli and allspice.
The Mickey Mouse candle leans a little more to the citrus and spice spectrum
Homesick for Disney?
Putting the Candles in Disney Travel Terms
Putting them in Disney terms, Amelia noted: "The Minnie Mouse candle is very reminiscent of the Disney hotel room feel and the H20 products they have in the rooms. The Mickey Mouse candle reminds me of Mickey's Pantry, or at least what used to be Mickey's Pantry. It's nice because neither of these are trying to mirror a specific Disney scent, but both of them perfectly encapsulate the Disney magic."
We loved both of these Disney candle scents and would recommend trying them. Homesick candles are made of a natural soy wax blend and are poured in small batches to ensure consistency.
At the time of this review, these Disney candles are available at homesick.com for $44.00. As an added bonus, when the candles burn down they reveal a nice surprise of artwork behind the candle label. Homesick also allows you to add a personalized note to the jar for an additional $15.00
