Tell No Tales: Pirates of the Caribbean Disney Signature Cocktail

A Rum Cocktail inspired by Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean
When setting out to create a Disney signature cocktail based on the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, I focused on Caribbean-themed ingredients (while considering the need for a little pirate swagger). Tell No Tales (or TNT for short here at the Grand One Lounge) is a rum-based cocktail with a Caribbean fruit base.
For this Disney Signature cocktail I started with black spiced rum (The Kraken and Captain Morgan’s are favorites) and then added a little coconut rum and some banana liqueur. These three give it just enough kick to make a pirate proud. To round out the flavor profile, Tell No Tales has a base of mango banana smoothie puree, making it an easy sipper at any time.
A garnish truly inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean.
I spend a lot of time considering garnishes for my Disney signature cocktails as they add personality to the drink. For Tell No Tales, I chose a black grape and crossed garnished picks as inspiration. The crossed picks represent the crossed swords (a classic pirate symbol) while the seedless black grape serves a double purpose: It represents both a cannonball and the Black Pearl, a classic from the Pirates of the Caribbean films.

Ingredients
1 oz Black Spiced Rum
1/2 oz Coconut Rum
1/2 oz Banana Liqueur
4 oz Mango Banana Smoothie Puree
Seedless Black Grape for garnish
To make a Tell No Tales, mix the first three items in a glass of your choice, then add four ounces of mango banana smoothie puree (you can substitute a juice of the same mix or make your own). Top with crushed ice and garnish with the crossed cocktail picks and a single seedless black grape.
